INVOLVEMENT OF VARIOUS CASTE PEOPLE IN ANTI-SC CRIMES IN TAMIL NADU

For over a century now, Tamil Nadu Brahmins (from newly born babies to people on their death beds) have been portrayed as vile, cunning and dominating by the caste extremists who rule the roost in TN today.

While no evidence ever being presented to justify the demonisation of the TN Brahmins, the shamelessly cowardly national media and other votaries of Hindu rights have either looked the other way or have chosen to side with the anti-social propagandists.

In Tamil Nadu, everybody other than Brahmins (in total violation of constitutional provisions) have been fraudulently categorised as “weak, backward and marginalized and oppressed¶. Last year, even Muslims (who actually ruled India for a thousand years and Christians (more educated than Hindus) were also declared “weak and backward¶. Today, about 97% of the TN population is categorised as ‘backward’.

A century of supremacist reservation system plus right to the open seats as well and accompanied with relentless campaign of hate and intimidation has helped finish off the Brahmins from almost all avenues of civil society. Today, Brahmins have about half-a-percent representation in the ten lakh jobs under the State Government and in professional education, their representation is about 1%.

While the totally false propaganda has been on, the ground realities have been the opposite. TN has become the most casteist society and the atrocities against the scheduled caste continues unabated. Here too the media which never tires of proclaiming India to be the “world’s largest democracy¶ has gone out of its way to hide the anti-scheduled caste atrocities that are systematically perpetrated by the bogus backwards who are euphemistically referred to as “caste hindus¶, “dominant caste¶, “higher caste¶ etc. The expression “backward class¶ is carefully and wilfully suppressed to mask their involvement in caste atrocities against the scheduled castes and Brahmins.

Analysis of TN data, of which Youth For Equality has a copy, on atrocities against the scheduled castes is an eye opener.  During the seven-year period from 2001-2007 , about 4932 cases of crimes against scheduled castes were reported and 15348 persons were named as accused in the anti-sc crimes. The caste-wise break-up reveals the involvement of following caste groups:

These data clearly show the falsehood and emptiness of allegations made by Dravidian leaders. It is a well hatched and extremely well planned conspiracy of neo-nazis (Tamil Dravidians ) to drive  Brahmins out of Tamil Nadu, as Nazis did to Jews .
